A safe place to learn
For children fleeing war or disaster, a return to school is a return to normalcy. In many countries where we work, the IRC provides temporary schools for children uprooted from their homes and communities. These emergency classrooms, housed in tents, provide a safe space for children to learn, express themselves and bond with other children, many of whom have lost friends and family members. A warm classroom creates a foundation of learning that will help children and families successfully rebuild their lives.
Why they’ll love a Rescue Gift
“ I like being able to donate in my parents' name for birthdays, Christmas, Mother's and Father's Day. And they like knowing their gifts mean something.”
