A New Classroom
$240 can outfit a classroom in a war-torn region with the furniture and other materials needed to create a vibrant learning environment for children. Years of conflict and displacement shutter schools and leave them in disrepair. In places like South Sudan, where war has taken years of learning from children of all ages, we rehabilitate classrooms so that teachers and students can not only return, but also thrive. In 2011, we supported 2,255 schools attended by 420,000 students.
