Supplies for a Teacher
It's not easy to be a teacher in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, where an estimated 31 percent of school-age children have never set foot in a classroom. It takes courage and commitment to reach and nurture young minds in ravaged towns and refugee camps. We support Congo’s brave teachers however we can, giving them the supplies they need to furnish their makeshift classrooms. Education is important everywhere — but in a war zone, it's especially critical for children hoping for a better life.
