Lifesaving Cholera Treatment

$190 can supply the necessary medication and medical attention to protect the lives of 100 children in a place where a cholera epidemic has broken out. When the worst cholera outbreak in a decade struck the impoverished nation of Chad, our emergency medical teams quickly responded. We set up a new cholera treatment center in an area that hosts more than 260,000 refugees, diagnosing and treating patients. Since then, the cholera mortality rate has dropped from six percent to just one percent, helping families survive the epidemic.
