A Community Garden
Our New Roots program helps refugees settling in the United States stay connected to the soil and the agricultural traditions they’ve brought from their own countries. We help by providing the land and materials they need to grow the crops they want — and also by connecting refugees to local farmers’ markets and restaurants where they can sell their bounty. The community gardens we support are not only a cornucopia of exotic produce, but a vibrant group of farmers from many nations working together to revitalize their new communities.
