Refugee Farmer Market Kit
$135 can provide a table, chalkboard, wooden boxes and baskets to help a refugee farmer bring produce to market. Through the New Roots program, the IRC is helping hundreds of refugees, many of whom were farmers in their home countries, to become engaged and productive members of their new communities in the United States by growing their own produce and selling it at farmers markets. It's a way of celebrating their heritage while nourishing themselves and their neighbors.
